3. Acupuncture & Acupressure
This is a treatment modality of Chinese origin dating back 5,000 years. The treatment of various diseases by inserting very fine needles in to the specific points of the body is termed acupuncture. In Latin “acus” means needles and “punge” means pricking. In the treatment of acupuncture, it is not only essential to select and locate the points precisely but also to use appropriate manipulations of the needles in accordance with the nature of the diseases and the chosen point. Acupuncture and acupressure are included in our treatment courses depending on the condition of the patient and its compatibility with various Ayurvedic treatments.
